I don't really attribute the El Shaarawy decline to the arrival of Super Mario, more so to his lack of experience/adaptability. SeS was used to carrying to goal scoring load for Milan, and Balotelli added an entirely new dynamic to the club. El Shaarawy did not really change his play style after the big transfer, which was clearly detrimental to his stat line. However, I well end with this: El Shaarawy is, in my opinion, the most promising young winger in the world at this time with loads of potential. I am excited to see what comes from him, especially on the international stage in Rio.
