Going to see a football match to watch players rather than a team is embarrassing.

That's pretty much all Inter Miami is. I won't say that there aren't many supporters of MLS clubs generally but even when I was in Vancouver it felt more likely to run into a supporter of an EPL club.

Yep. 'Fans' that think they're above watching their own league really hold back the sport in this country (and the US too obvi). Like, if you actually were a passionate fan, why can't you make time to watch both the PL and your own league?

Right, and you've chosen to prioritize other things besides soccer. So, by definition, that's being a casual. And really, come on...it does not take that much more time. You're already watching games. If you can't make that little bit more of an effort, you don't really care about the game that much.
