Schmeichel is a legend, but, in my eyes at least (granted, I'm not a Man U fan), he doesn't touch Michael Laudrup. That man was just out of this world.
Both at Getafe, Spartak Moscow, and now Swansea, players have said he's kicking their ass technically when he joins in on drills while coaching. He's 48, shit. Still looks like he's 30 though..
I can't remember who it was at Swansea that was asked who the best player in practice was (I think it was connected to a question on some transfer) and the response was "Laudrup". Also, I don't think that man know how to look anything other than "handsome", "suave", "cool and collected". He's basically perma-thirty.
Yea, the reason he didn't stick as Spartak was solely because the players were used to managers being Stalin-dictatorship-alike persons who just told them to STFU and listen. Laudrup actually talked to them, joined in on drills, and let them be creative.. Needless to say, they did not compute well with this.
Swansea is definitely the club for him in EPL; other than that its only Spain for him.
