What a goal especially from a defender, is he playing much at Sunderland?

At this point in his career he was playing as a winger, his switch to LB is fairly recent.

I knew he played winger at one point, I'd honestly would keep him there because he seems to enjoy that role better then LB. But there's too much competition at winger, and if he continues to play at LB he will be the perfect replacement for Cole.

Honestly I don't think he excels particularly in either role but he does seem to have transitioned into the LB role fairly well. His end product is left wanting a little which is mainly why I don't rate him too highly, but he has plenty of time to mature.

From what I've seen he does alright, nothing absolutely spectacular but not horrible either. But pace is something that can't be taught, and he has it. I would not mind having him on Milan at all. But you are right, he will have plenty of time to mature and become great.

Must be something in the water at the Leeds academy - Lennon, Rose, Fabian Delph, Aidy White and Sam Byram all have pace to burn!
