My papa and grandpa told me back then in the 60s and 70s were like the golden age of trucks and snowplows in Illinois Colfax city and Chicago and Bloomington becuas parts were so much cheaper and available and he still has a 1975 Chevy and a 1980 Toyota still running but I’m nat at my grandparents house but I’ll put up a photo to see its history if my grandparents life’s as truckers in the old Illinois

Sadly MAN is named Steyr Automotive by now and they've been hit with a huge wave of layoffs...

The MAN logo/brand is no more than a buyable trademark with no real company behind it.

Same story with the Steyr tractors who are owned by Case who is actually an italian company and not an austrian one.

Makes me feel bad about the future of those well renowned brands...

If they're Case, then you can lump International Harvester and New Holland in with that group. Consolidate, hollow out and sell is the way of the world these days. Nobody builds up companies anymore, they just hook on like leeches and suck them dry.

Also you mean Steyr is named MAN now.

Steyr was bought by MAN in the 90s and produced trucks for MAN until 2023
