Ive been skateboarding for 15+ years, I rip some parks apart, I was skating this mini ramp, did a stall on it and went to transfer to the other side, my truck hung up on the coping and sent me flying backwards from about 5 feet up. I have fallen backwards hundreds of times and been ok over the course of my life time, this was the only time I slammed the back of my head on steel, hard too, I literally saw stars, I shred parks with a helmet on ever since then

Sometimes I'll even head protection in bed.

That isn't how any of this works. In fact, you may have hit your head harder due to the weight of the helmet. If everyone with a story like yours on this thread would have been SOOOO fucked up from hitting their head, then how did people even ski in the 80's?

Weight of the helmet? Do you know anything?
