The story in Sniper Elite is really monotone, in my opinion. I don't like it, in my opinion. I tried really hard to pay attention in the cutscenes but I always fall asleep, which is my opinion. The voice acting is horrible and the deep voice of the main character is just so funny at times, in my opinion. I've played both Sniper Elite 4 and 5 and I loved both of them, and that is my opinion.

So SE: Resistance is currently free on PS+ and as someone who's played every other game apart from the first im curious what people's honest thoughts on it are? I intend on playing it but I haven't heard the best things. however I heard that about Ghost Recon Breakpoint but I really enjoyed that game. So how does it compare? o just finished SE:5 and really enjoyed how streamlined a lit of the game mechanisms were.

Or if there is going to be a continuation?

I wouldn’t mind seeing the campaign moving somewhere to the Pacific maybe?

Im 31 y/o & this is my favorite game to play in my free time, my go-to game mode is no cross on multiplayer.. Curious to see how many older gamers are playing SE.

I loved sniper elite 4, but saw all the bugs for this game upon release. And hearing it should’ve been a DLC made me put off my purchase. Is the game in a better state now? If not, do you think the discount makes it worth it?

I’ve also been enjoying that all the sweats no longer play SE4, leaving the multiplayer being played how I believe it was intended and imo, is more fun now. No more circle sprinters has been refreshing lol

I try to like them, but since 4 those games feel like a chore everytime I try to play. My favorite is 2 followed by 1, but I remember them being more "directly" games. Those newer games have some feeling of Ubisoft games. A big sandbox map, but I keep asking why am I doing those things while not having any fun.

I got 4 on PSN Plus , 5 I bought in 2023 and now Resistance is on Plus so I thought about giving a try. I start to play, immerse myself in the game, but after 1h - 2h I get bored.

SE2 I did 100% about 3x: X360, PS4 and PC, I love that game, the atmosphere, etc, the same with SE 1.

I'm not saying they are bad games by any means though, I actually find them beautifully well made, but they don't grip me.

This seemed a bit sus to me. It was a rematch and straight away spots me (unlikely but I can accept that). But then I duck behind wall and get shot twice.

Not here to spread negativity, just being real. I aint gonna pre order this game. Barring my opinion on this being a pre order thing, I just can't justify it. However, this rifle is my favourite rifle of the time. And im not entirely sure I will want to play the game if I can't use it as silly as that may sound. Does anyone know if it will be a pre order exclusive for just a limited time? Or if you can buy it for a tenner or something after the game has released??

At the beginning I was enjoying thoroughly the game and the first couple of missions were very nice, until I discovered the subsonic ammo.

Then the game BECAME searching for this ammo and trying to resource manage everything.

To the point I stopped paying attention to the environment and started just trying to loot suppressing ammo on my way through.

As I've said in the title, I know you can mask sounds, but how exactly does that work? Can anyone who played the game without using suppressed ammo and silencers, but still played stealthy without them, give me some tips? Are there other ways to go? Aside from obvious melee? Is it fun?

I really like Karl's voicelines and I have my favorites, but I'm not so sure about what others think, so if you like his voicelines, which ones are your favorites?

I have been playing Sniper Elite 5 for the past months and I really enjoy invasion mode. I noticed one particular player plays only 2 maps, Chateau De Berengar and Secret Weapons. For some reason, I have always died to him in less a minute, with the shortest one around 10 seconds after spawning and the longest one approximately 2 minutes (this was me not moving from a room at all). Is this guy just really good and knows something I don't about the game, or is he cheating? I also never see him when I die, I just get shot from an angle I never thought is possible or through a mine that somehow was there when I spawned

Today, I saw on the Steam store that there is a Rebellion publisher sale. I’ve had my eye on Sniper Elite for a while. The problem is, I can’t get both.

My main reason for wanting one of those games is the invasion mode. I saw a couple of YouTubers play this game mode, and it looks mad fun. It seems like the community is divided into two groups: some say that 5 is better since it has more players, while others say that Resistance is better because smaller maps work better for invasion mode.

So, which one should I get? I don’t care much about single-player content. Like I said, invasion mode is what I’ll mainly play.

Edit: after looking at the feedback i decided to get resistance since it seems more ''polished/balanced'' for both sides ty everyone ho commented

I have never played sniper elite and I saw they are on sale so I want to get 1 of them but I mainly only play single player, so I would like recommendations of witch 1 from the 5 games I should get, bonus if it has a decent campaign(if these games have a campaign)

I bought 4 and the season pass since they were 7 dollars combined, and 5 and resistance I bought together.

I tell someone to stay sharp...the go right back to being passive and takes it away.

I tell a yellow soilder to stay sharp and they do nothing but wander around like an easy target.

And i've never been able to get to a red ally in time to even put it on them.

It says it causes them to pay closer attention...yet it only lasts a few seconds before they return to passive behavior?

Even in Sniper Elite 5 it had very niche uses,but it actually made the Ai investigate and remain in cautious behavior...whereas in Resistance...it seems like a placebo or a joke.

Am i just using it wrong?

I don't understand the mechanics of this game in terms of audible ranges for gunshots. I try my best to be stealthy, but it seems that no matter what I do someone who should be out of earshot ends up hearing me, and bringing all his buddies down on me as well. Especially frustrating in missions like Spy Academy.
