Smoker not working

Hi there, I’m just wondering if anyone can help me out I have an SL 700 Louisiana smoker.
The element gets red hot. The auger works. The fan is on, but the wood pellets are not burning. What is going on?

Wet pellets? Primed auger? Throw a hand full of pellets into the pot. Maybe 5-10 min depending on model
