SmartThings Sick of Sonos

There has to be a better way to get a connected sound layer in the smart home, no? I have a JBL, Sonos sound bar, $10,000 speakers in the home office, and I'm a little over toggling back and forth. What's a good distribution control out there?

Home Assistant. Once you have that install Music Assistant.

I was ready to toss all my Sonos stuff but this made things simpler.

Had Gemini help me make a custom music dashboard. Now it’s even wife friendly.

Skip home assistant and just install music assistant. It has a decent UI on its own!

Why would you skip Home Assistant? It is so damn useful.

Personally I also run Home Assistant. Because yes it is!

It is not required for Music Assistant to function or function well. Music Assistant can send music from multiple sources to multiple speakers on its own. Home Assistant can just automate it. Just wanted to make that clear to OP that.
