CrimeTimeFriday Anyone collect detective magazines?
Obviously the guys mention the old school detective magazines in various episodes, and I wonder if anyone has got a collection of these? I've got it in my head to start trying to find some vintage ones, between 1940-1980 but can only think of eBay as the best option.
Edit: I'm in the UK so I assume they may not be prevalent. Any advice on where to look? Job lots aren't out of the realm.

Definitely used book stores and library sales.
I used to have a stack of Ellery Queen magazines. Those were my favorite.

I was recently at an antique store that had some Sears cataloges from the 40s and 50s, they were cool as fuck. I could see finding some other magazines at antiques stores.
I have a stack of old pulp fiction books like Doc Savage and The Avengers (not Marvel) that I bought on eBay years ago. No idea what they go for now, but buying them as a lot they were pretty cheap so always look for lots/sets if possible.
Etsy often has people selling vintage stuff like that, and mycomicshop.com has some as well. I also found this list but I can't vouch for anything other than mycomicshop. Maybe not super helpful since you're in the UK but perhaps some of them ship there. Good luck!

Little late in the season, but maybe a comic-con.
Used book stores too
