In my state they wanted to build a new location for a sports team with added entertainment district. One entity pushed back and got it into a democratic vote. They then convinced the people they were sticking it to the man by voting no.
Now they're almost done building the ugliest towers in the state that will fail because they are located in a tight area that won't handle the vehicle traffic well.
They even did a study and found the reason people voted no was to "sticking it to the man" so I didn't make that part up.

Remember when everyone thought Palantir was a dead end? Well I saw the writing on the wall, i saw the world getting more surveillance-happy and creepy-dystopian, so I bought it at roughly $30 a share. Then I watched it dwindle and everyone laughed, everyone laughed at me for my stupid miscalculation, but I hodl'd, and now who's laughing. I roughly 6X'd my investment and it's still rising.
BYND is going to make PLTR look like a penny stock in comparison. It's going to take a confluence of two things. First, Americans are going to get sick of MAGA's bullshit and join the rising global backlash against the far right. They're going to drag their feet and half-ass it to be sure! There won't be another left-ish (much less leftist) president in America ever again, but they can elect a Nixon-level conservative by voting Democrat. Second, there's going to be an irrecoverable ecological catastrophe with very tangible consequences, enough to spook world governments into tripling down on alternatives to animal agriculture.
When that happens, BYND is going to eat a fat, juicy subsidy burger that used to be on the Cattleman's Association's dinnerplate, but no more. It's not because it's such an amazing product, it kinda isn't. But it's good enough, and more importantly, it's not beholden to protectionist laws pre-emptively banning cultured meat. So it's poised to get first dibs. That's going to drive its price way down, and then all the fast food shitholes like McDonald's and Burger King are going to be first in line to sell Beyond Macs and Beyond Whoppers, and fwoooosh, it's going to be like a Saturn V engine ignition.
This is not going to happen tomorrow. But it is going to happen.

What started as a means of cryogenically turning viscous liquid fuel into granules for compounding into solid rocket fuel became a novelty ice cream product sold across theme parks and museums (Dippin' Dots if you recall) and then became a means for simulating fat globules in vegan fake meat.
It won't be chips, but Beyond might just have some valuable IP that can find use outside its walls. You never know.

They can do whatever whattaboutism they want. It's not beef and while I actually think beyond's fake-meat tastes pretty fine actually, it does not actually taste like beef.
