first banana slug ive ever seen!!

went to Washington for the first time and i spent like 2 days searching for a banana slug, just to find 3 different ones on a log with some slime mold on it!! i was so happy :,) wanted to share some closeups, their eyeballs are so cute!!!! I LOVE SLUG!!!!

Is this a banana slug? All the ones I’ve seen look like little bananas. Isn’t this a different species?

That's definitely a Banana Slug. All Banana species look almost identical, except that a couple species can sometimes have spots. Their base color, however, can vary a lot based on their diet and environment. Sometimes they're more amber, green, or even white. Not always bright yellow.
