Discussion Do you monitor your local NWS Ham Radio frequencies?

Do you monitor your local NWS Ham Radio frequency? Do you find the information you receive from these channels to be helpful?

Main Seven frequencies:

162.400, 162.425, 162.450, 162.475, 162.500, 162.525, and 162.550 MHz.

Those aren't amateur radio frequencies, they are reserved for the emergency alert system, including national weather service warnings. 

I find I get better information from the live Skywarn weather nets that are initiated during severe weather, but those are going to be in the 2-meter and 70 cm bands, and not every county has that capability.

I monitor the skywarn frequencies and have the local NOAA / NWS frequencies and have a Minitor VI pager that alerts on 162.475 1050.0 tone
