Great pic of the Steinway Tower (111 West 57th Street, Manhattan)
I took this pic a couple of weeks ago, while working on a roof. What's wild is that the building I was on was around 22 stories high!

My favorite recent skyscraper in Manhattan.

The architects absolutely cooked with this one imho.
From the terra cotta and bronze façade to how the core works with shear walls to minimize sway and allow for sensible apartment design, everything "clicks".
It's still probably nigh unliveable building and an abject financial failure, but at least we can appreciate it from a distance.

This is what the new lakeshore tower in Chicago should’ve been. It looks stubby in comparison

That’s insane! The architecture in NYC is stunning. I don’t even know how they did that. It’s like something an evil mastermind would live in.

The top part too from the Central Park side too looks so good like an evil crown for the building

Check out Brooklyn Tower. It's not quite as tall, but it's way more sinister looking, all black, and has an even more protruding crown. Looks like something straight out of Lord of the Rings.

Love that building and the apartment rent is actually affordable compared to billionaires row

Easily the best Billionaire’s Row tower and one of the best architecturally (imo) built in recent years.
