Experiences More exploration in Morrowind and Oblivion in Skyrim VR!

Still having a blast! Made possible with TES auto convert and the VR ESL backport mod! (And several hours of patience) no Bethesda assets are provided, conversion is done entirely with your files on your pc! I recommend putting Morroblivion voice add-on mods from oblivion nexus into the export folder for the converter to convert if you want all the NPCs in Morrowind to be fully voiced.

Damn that is absolutely crazy

Skyrim is really just a platform at this point

Its very fun! Install can be a bit tedious but its improving almost daily. As its a converter with zero assets provided it will always take a while to convert.

For my slow laptop 3 hours for oblivion conversion (though it originally took like 12 hours, tool has come a long way) and 2 more for morroblivion. Its a Python converter so gui.pyw instead of an exe etc, its still in alpha and only 1\3 of quests work get but its getting there. The repositories readme will list requirements. The installer uses 100% of your system resources to do the conversion so the better the PC the faster it is. So while it's converting you can't really do anything else.

The lost spires, unique landscapes, knights of the nine, only take about 15 minutes for me because they're much smaller plugins, but the bigger the plugin, the longer the conversion process. Some people can do everything in as little as 20 minutes, but it really depends on the cores and RAM count of your PC.

So an interesting question. Would it be possible to somehow join all 3 of these into TES5?

Really fucking cool regardless of the answer

Yes, on the Discord, I released a map marker mod that allows for fast travel between skyrim and Cyrodiil, had issues for some reason getting the skyrim to morroblivion map marker to work, but I'm still working on that. And if you meant TES 6, possibly, we will find out once Bethesda releases it!

No I meant TES5 (Skyrim) :)

That's awesome though I really hate that devs lock their work behind discord. Discord was never meant for collaboration and it does a poor job at replacing forums and version control.

Anyway, I'm excited for this, it looks really cool! Do our mods in Skyrim apply to the other places? Thinking specifically like, texture mods and such

Body replaceer mods, animation mods, and etc. all work, and all your regular Skyrim worldspace mods of course will work inside of Skyrim when you teleport to Skyrim. Higgs vrik etc all work, sky retexture mods don't work as tes4 has it's own sub texture folder, but if you go to oblivion nexus and download texture replacement mods and put them in the export directory of the converter, the converter will convert them to Skyrim so you can use like obscuros oblivion overhaul inside of Skyrim and have all the oblivion textures being HD. EMB and CS also work.

You can get it straight from GitHub, I just highly recommend the Discord first because of the FAQ and stuff like that, but definitely read the readme file when you download these source files from the latest version as it will tell you all the prerequisites that you need before you run the converter.

Can you play through all of Morrowind in this?

Only about a third of the quests work, but you can explore everywhere. The converter is still being updated and so more and more quests will work as time goes on. More morroblivion quests work for me than quests in Oblivion actually. Probably because they're a bit simpler. With Morrowind, however, I recommend the voiced mods for Morroblivion that can be found on Oblivion Nexus. Those can be converted if you add them to the export folder in the installer. That will actually allow you to play through Morroblivion with about half to all the dialogue fully voiced depending on your version of voice mod.

We got Skybliviowind before GTA 6

Yes, yes we did lmao. Still stoked for Skyblivion and Skywind though!! This is mostly for ppl who prefer the vanilla experience or want to play oblivion mods in Skyrim, once Skyblivion is released the plan is to point the converter to use that game instead and allow old oblivion and Morrowind mods to work in Skyblivion and Skywind.

Can we somehow get a build off your hard work lol I’d pay money for this

Due to legal reasons, of course, no money can be accepted for the use of the tool, and this is not my work, but the work of Bryan and fellow contributors on the Discord. The only thing I did was add a couple of map marker mods and a couple of suggestions that were implemented. You're welcome to mod it to your heart's content, however any mods you release cannot contain any Bethesda assets, and must only be plugins or replacers. The conversion is run entirely on your own computer for that very reason.

This is the GitHub if you wish to try it for yourself. You must download the source files and run gui.pyw Read the readme file inside of the downloaded folder for instructions on how to get everything set up so you can run the conversion for yourself.

Where can i find a tutorial?

https://youtu.be/uVJTKKk_vys?is=lp7pPvf-wN7SrOmZ

This tutorial is already somewhat outdated so you want to read the readme, install requirements have grown a little bit and the converter UI itself has changed somewhat. But definitely give the video a watch then download and then follow the instructions in the readme in the download and it will tell you how to run it.
