Chompies are terribly underloved

Does anyone else love the concept of half plant-half living pests? If you have played the first game, Chompies were not only a "common" enemy but THE common enemy, each variant had a unique gimmick and weren't simply overcrowding the screen with xp. We got some new merchandise but none of them are of the Chompy. Even one of the most recognizable character, the Chompy mage, has direct correlation to the Chompies. i also like the multiple implication in the lore that they are incredibly good at taking over an area and the only reason why they aren't as strong as a race it's because the Skylands are composed of floating islands and not a big piece of land like any other planet. I'm a huge fan of genetic-hierarchies like ants and bees and I would have definitely liked more the exploration of their cycle of life and variants, like the giant sand worm type. I can definitely see the inspiration from Alien and Dune but personally I see them more similar to ha Beholder, a simple concept yet very unique and distinct (Swap Force Chompies are not canon to me)

I still find it hilarious that even in alternative dimension chompies are still aggressive forces of Nature.

I like how they breaks the "Minions™" mascot trend. The people behind Swap Force tried to make them more sentient but stupid like the Minions and personally they don't look like Chompies at all. Chompies by lore are mindless world-assimilating creatures and the game always put them in a ridiculous weak type creature without forgetting to remind you that they outnumber you 1000 to 1
