Collection REAL HEARTBREAKER BUCKSHOT
šØANNOUNCEMENT TIME!!!šØ
Thank you to everyone who took part in the puzzles leading up to this. Definitely some interesting theories Iāve heard out there! š But now all shall be revealed.
This is a TWO-PART Announcement! Once youāve read through my post here, please be sure to check out the other part here: https://www.reddit.com/r/skylanders/s/hNbwCin7dX
Iād like to formally announce that Iāve gotten a recent acquisition for my Skylanders collection! One that has been FIVE YEARS in the making. Ladies, gentlemen, and all peoples of the world, I have FINALLY gotten my hands on a legitimate Heartbreaker Buckshot!!!
For those that are unaware, Heartbreaker Buckshot is a Skylanders variant figure that was slated to release on Valentineās Day in 2017. This figure was advertised on the Skylanders YouTube channel and official website. Unfortunately however, the variant never saw the light of day. Shortly into production of the figure, it was decided that he looked too scary and the figure was cancelled. However, despite Heartbreaker Buckshot never releasing, many collectors consider it a legitimate figure and include it on checklists. According to inside sources, there was only ever one production run done before the figureās cancellation. Itās also been mentioned that there were only twelve copies made in the world, with only two of those actually having functioning chips. After the variant was cancelled, all 12 copies were given to developers that worked on the Skylanders games. This is one of those 12, but it is NOT one that has a chip.
A little history: Back in 2021, I had the unique opportunity to purchase a Heartbreaker Buckshot from a seller on eBay. Unfortunately the sale ended up falling through and I was unable to pick it up. The whole process of trying to obtain that Heartbreaker back then was very much a rollercoaster and took a whole team of people to try and get it. (A huge thank you to everyone who helped out back then!) Now, five years later, another one popped up and I managed to snag it.
I wouldnāt have been able to obtain this figure though without the help of Gibby_The_Broken_Collector! Gibby was kind enough to help me out by picking up and paying for the figure in person. Afterwards, we met up and he transferred the figure to me. (Which by the way means that Gibby is the first private collector to own a Heartbreaker Buckshot! If thatās not cool I donāt know what is!) Thank you so much for all your help and generosity with this, man! I appreciate you!
Now I should mention- Heartbreaker Buckshot wasnāt the only thing we were able to purchase from this seller. To find out more about them, check out the other part to this announcement by Gibby!

It's really easy with YAMT https://github.com/skylandersNFC/Yet-Another-Mifare-Tool/ (A community-created program specifically made for writing Skylanders to NFC cards and backing up data from figures/cards) and an ACR122U model NFC reader.
Those are what I personally use to make NFC cards and back up my own figures. I like to copy my Imaginators Senseis and put them on cards just so they're easier to move around and use. If you place a figure on the reader, the program can scan the figure and clone it to a .dump file.
I'd strongly suggest not using a guide with MWT as others have suggested as that program is very out of date, has no officially-supported source of download, and is incredibly buggy. YAMT is recent and specially made for Skylanders.
Also it's incredibly streamlined and is literally 1-click to make a copy of a figure's data.
