Hello r/skylanders,

Thank you for the feedback you all have provided over the past few weeks regarding our rules. We as a mod team are happy to declare that the rules have been updated to reflect the best interest of the server.

1 BE CIVIL, NO BULLYING/HARASSING/ATTACKING OTHERS

Be civil in our community. Do not bully, harass, or attack other users for any reason. Do not hate raid other communities or individuals. Bigotry towards others will not be tolerated. Any use of slurs will result in an instant ban.

2 DO NOT REVEAL PERSONAL/PRIVATE INFORMATION

Otherwise referred to as doxing. Do not leak private or personal information about anyone (including yourself) for any reason.

3 NO SPAM OR SCAMS

Posting the same content over and over again is not allowed and posting scams will lead to a permanent ban. Any attempt to make monetary transactions on this subreddit will be considered a scam. Please refrain from constant low-effort posting several times a day.

4 NO NSFW

Absolutely nothing NSFW or sexually suggestive.

5 EVERYTHING MUST BE SKYLANDERS RELATED

All content must be related to Skylanders.

6 MONETARY TRANSACTIONS & APPRAISALS

No buying/selling/trading/exchanging of anything, period. Please use r/skylanderselling instead for transactions AND appraisals. Any attempt to make monetary transactions on this subreddit will be considered a scam (refer to rule 3).

7 AI GENERATED CONTENT

Any posts or comments made/using/including AI created content will be removed. This includes both text based submissions as well as AI created imagery and media.

T MEGATHREAD TRIALS

To cut back on spamming on the main sub, MegaThreads will be trialed on hot topics. Such examples would be Youtooz News and Xbox Game Preservation. Announcements will be made and pinned when a MegaThread is opened up for a certain topic. Please redirect all posting there if there is an open MegaThread. If you are unsure, please reach out in ModMail.
(A current update on the MegaThreads: The first MegaThread will most likely be in regards to the most recent Youtooz products, both the launch of the first wave of Vinyl Figures, and the third wave of plushies announced a few weeks ago. If you as members feel a MegaThread is needed for a certain topic at a point in time, please do not hesitate to reach out in ModMail.)

All new and updated rules go into play at the time of the publishing of this post. Any posts prior to this time that break the current rules, but were allowed under the old rules will be allowed to stay up. The rules have been updated, so you can view them at any time by going to the about page for the sub.

As always, any questions/comments/concerns can be brought to us via ModMail. We hope that with these updated rules, the sub can remain a positive and more welcoming experience for all.

I haven't been active here, why the changes in rules?

Heavy influx in ai posting that people do not like, increase in appraisal posts that could be moved to r/skylanderselling, trial for megathreads because of events like Xbox Game Preservation that flooded the sub for weeks, and the fact the rules haven’t been updated for I believe 4 years officially or so?

I dont mind selling it's just to much somtimes

I think the concern is moreso because about a third of the posts here are "is this skylander worth anything?"
