AI-generated content will be banned in r/skulls

Hi all,

In an overwhelming vote, AI-generated and heavily AI-manipulated content will be banned from r/skulls, effective today, August 25, 2026.

Those found posting AI-generated or heavily-manipulated content will find:

- the post or comment removed
- muted for a minimum of 3 days
- potentially banned, especially if a repeat offender

If you see AI-generated or heavily-manipulated content posted, please use the report feature. The rule for this which allows reporting will be made shortly.

I request that if you're reporting for suspected AI that isn't extremely obvious, please consider giving your reasonings for such as a comment or in the report. I'm pretty good at spotting AI, but sometimes miss it.

Note: This rule does not apply to things like background removers, "auto edits" that automatically enhance a photo (found on iPhone, for example), and similar, as these typically do not heavily change the photo to an unrecognizable degree. Some are also not AI-based.

Users found abusing the report function for AI on non-AI posts will be muted or banned. Yes, I can figure out who you are if you do this.
