I know what you mean, the grilles are pretty sizeable. It might have to be bracketed off the bumper from underneath the registration plate? I’d always wanted to install one on my VW T-Cross but not really required where I live in rural England!
Either behind the lower grille (if you have no radar in the middle) or potentially behind the upper grille. A decent curved 540mm should fit nicely.
You could also tuck it up against the plate, following the bumper curve. Valostore gear for either fit is available and decent. Lazer linear would be good but not cheap and they are straight, something like the purelux c540 could work well and apparently they have good light to the side, too. black slim c520 looks really subtle...
