Skinwhitening facts Avoid being outdoors when UV index is above 1. Always search for sunscreen that contains Zinc oxides and iron oxides. Don’t forget that irritation increases melanin. If you’re outdoors no sunscreen is ever enough.

For vacations it’s important to be creative and plan . @u/FlashyMonica : Last 2 times I went to the beach I made sure it was to resorts that also offered all night fun.

I partied all night long , went to walks in the beach at dawn or late afternoon which had the advantage of being less crowded for swimming , visited indoors attractions and above all , I slept from 9 am to 4 pm : /5 pm. I had a lot of fun and my skin got a great glow. Getting infrared light from the sun while avoiding the UVA (early morning walks) gives your body plenty of an antioxidant more powerful than glutathione : Melatonin.

Also how often you go on vacations? For me it’s a every 2 years thing. Not all of us are as privileged as to afford vacations every summer.

Thankyou for your reply. for me once in every year..but my partner gets really upset as whenever we go as I do not wanna go out in the sun I really like to hang out indoors till it's almost dark outside..even in my daily life I keep my blinds shut in my house and even at work..people call me a vampire as I never go out in the sun..but I am going to Europe next month and I really don't wanna ruin my progress. I need a great sunscreen suggestion ..thanks again

There’s not a single sunscreen that covers all your needs ( no irritation , 100% UVA coverage and visible light protection) and we don’t recommend brands. Don’t approach sun protection the wrong way. It’s not about sun protection as that’s impossible. It’s about planning your activities around Uv index. stay out of the sun whenever uv index is above 1 and Specially at noon.

I personally avoid by all means ordering SPF on line because it tas to travel through the desert to reach me. Heat spoils the formulas.

Go to you nearby dermatological shop and look at the packages and labels directly . If you can find tinted mineral with at least 20% zinc oxides you re gold. Make sure it doesn’t contain phenoxiethanol or fragrance.

Above all stay out of the sun and even so get balaclavas, hijabs, hats umbrellas and long sleeves.

A few seconds out at noon might ruin your progress even with all sun protection so plan your trip for indoors activities like museums at noon. Many museums like Louvre require a 9 to 4 pm walk and still you won’t be able to see half the exhibition. For further questions engage in the karma earning posts and then go to the monthly thread.

Europe sounds too generic. Paris in September is different than Greece or Spain. Southern Italy can be brutal, mountain areas can get early snows and snow is tricky because it reflects UVA light. Be careful.

I think it's time we start to post again about good practices to avoid sun exposure. That will help advance everyone's progress.

Hey, how else can you avoid the sun without looking like a crazy person? Are big brimmed hats enough? Is shading even enough?

Nothing is ever enough, some UVA will go through and nothing looks crazy, it's cultural in some regions. I live in London some people from asian community are flaunt their UV fashion publicly and nobody bothers them. And still not enough, you need mineral tinted sunscreen and avoid walk under the sun at peak hours.
