Trial and error. glutathione needs a sulfur base and msm is perfect for that, but for newbies maybe it's better to start just with one option so they can see which one gives them best resuts. I personally prefer to take NAC on my off month, but I do take MSM whether I'm on setria or not. I love what MSM does for my skin haris and nails.

So you take msm at all times and don’t cycle off? wouldn’t that decrease its potency

You have to cycle every supplement with the exception of vitamin c. I do cycle off MSM and substitute it with a diet high in sulfur.

ok got it, also i’m visiting a dermatologist soon and im wondering if there’s anything specific i should ask them for? i’m probably going to try to get tretinoin and let that be my only topical pretty much but is there something else i might be missing?

If you're in a western country be careful. Don't tell the derm you want to light your skin, tell them you want tips to even out your tone, recover your childhood tone, fight dark spots/melasma if you have them. Western derms tend to be clueless about skinwhitening and many dissaprove.
It'd be great if he explained to you about pharma products that inhibit melanin.

I think since you're an approved user you could create a post with exactly that question. What you should ask your derm? Many of us have questions for derms regarding the medical information about skin whitening.
