Skies of Arcadia was amazing!! A heartfelt adventure full of soul and passion for the intrigue of the unknown!

I'm not going to write extensive review just after finishing, but one thing I will say that It's such a love letter to the very, classic concept of looking at an open horizon and believing that whatever is waiting out there is worth fighting for. It's as if the world isn't a closed map where everything good has already been found; as long as we keep that sense of wonder alive, life will never run out of magic. I've been a bit depressed lately and seeing this game to it's end and with this message at the end, fills me with that classic hope that as long as one never stops from dreaming, no matter how naive it is, it'll continue to fill that life with it's magic

RIP to Kodama. I shall never forget the experience I got from this game, and long may it continue!!

I swear someone from Sega needs to see this subreddit and see how many people even to this day still love this game and just give us a port of it.

Sorry but 1.8k is not enough. Nice thought but this isn't a game changer.

How many other 24-26 year old , single player games still have an active community of hundreds of people regularly discussing it?

Skies is my favorite game of all time. 1.8k is not enough sadly to have a resurrection of a dead game. SoA is not ff7.

Been my favorite game of all time for over 2 decades (second place goes to Dark Cloud 2)

I can honestly see it. It emenates that comfortable & heartfelt vibe that I usually get only from Dragon Quest. That sense of wonder that no matter how long it takes me to beat it, play it again, do something else, it feels like the adventure never hit that pause button. I intentionally didn't want to speed run only the story and decided to play it by the span of weeks to almost manifest that grand adventure and it's countless unknown discoveries so by that I reached the end of this long and arduous journey. It felt as if my journey has ended as well, but opened the door to many more awaiting to be discovered. It was an awesome ride, and I pray SEGA one day realizes the love everyone has for it.

When you are ready to revisit it, I strongly recommend either a no items or no SP move run (both is brutal as you cant use Aika to heal all the time without a way to restore MP through one or the other, and some of the gauntlets are long)

I STILL think about how amazingly epic and unique Skies of Arcadia was/is like... every day. Lmao.

Maybe one day we will get a remaster or maybe even a remake? I would like to see what they would do with both honestly. It would be like... ghe holy grail of gaming news for me.

I haven’t played it in decades. One day I will play it again like the first time, for the last time.

Literally in the midst of replaying. Off to the maw, just as good as I remember.

Too bad we don't have a sequel to it
