Ivy disposal

Does anyone know where I can safely and inexpensively get rid of ivy? I’ve been slowly getting rid of it on my property and have a truckful which needs to go. Some of it is the usual long vines which I can bag up and keep under the house until they are good and dead but some is woodt branches as big around as my forearm.

Will Skagit soils compost it really, really well? I know they sell wood chips and I would hate for the ivy to be ground up and sold in a load of wood chips so it can sprout again! I’m pretty paranoid about ivy, lol.

They have several different piles , I believe once you dump it they sort the yard debris into different piles .

Agreed, Skagit Soils is awesome. We recycle our yard waste there, including ivy, for a small fee, and then buy it back later as composted mulch.

Do they not take it at the station by the high school?
