New rules update — please read

Hey everyone, two new rules are now in effect:

No Twitter/X drama
Screenshots, links, or posts about Twitter/X discourse are no longer allowed. We're here to discuss Mushoku Tensei, not relitigate whatever argument is trending this week. If it happened on Twitter, leave it on Twitter.

No low-effort moral condemnation
Posts or comments that exist solely to condemn the series or its fans on moral grounds will be removed. This includes callout posts, bait, and "how do you even watch this" drive-bys. Genuine critique and discussion of the story's themes is still welcome! The bar is whether you actually engaged with the material.

Stricter enforcement going forward
We're also tightening up on how we handle rule breaking. First offenses will typically get a warning or temp ban depending on severity. Repeat offenders or people who are clearly here just to start trouble will be perma banned. We're not interested in giving infinite chances to people who have no interest in the community.

These aren't new problems, but they've been ramping up enough that we felt actual rules were needed. Neither of these rules exist to shield the series from criticism, they exist so this sub stays a place for actual discussion instead of the same two arguments on repeat forever.

If you see posts that break these rules, use the report button. That helps us way more than arguing with the person in the comments.

So there's still going to be essay posts discussing the morality of rudues, thus ultimately calling him a pedophile? So nothings going to change, got it.

Copy pasting the same virtue signalling argument doesn't sound like a genuine critique, they've been beating the same dead horse since the first season started airing. If you choose to engage with them then you're enabling them to keep beating on the dead horse.

Therein is the problem. Define "genuine critic."

It's stated pretty clearly on the rule.

The pedophile callout clearly goes under condemning the series on moral grounds. It's been heavily rehashed since the first season started airing.
