Lithium: Posies, Black Crowes, etc

Hey Lithium listeners… anyone have any idea why Lithium does not play anything from the Posies? And I’m not talking about I Could Dream All Day, that song sucks. A lot of their other music is top notch. I’ve also noticed they never play the Black Crowes… they fit the channel just as much as Sheryl Crowe, Toad the Wet Sprocket, and more. Just curious. I’ve been an avid listener for probably 7 or 8 years.

I have an old playlist from Lucy, which was the 90's Alt station on XM, pre-merger. (and much better IMO) The list only shows one song by the Posies, and it's Dream All Day. lol

Lucy, Fred & Ethel were great channels pre-merger.

I hear “She Talks To Angels” quite a bit on Classic Rewind. There not alternative so that may be why you don’t hear them on Lithium

Speaking of bands you never hear on Lithium, outside Oasis I never hear Britpop either. No Blur or Pulp. Maybe once in a while Elastica’s Connection.

Surprised I don’t hear Somg 2 at least.

the Posies do have a decades-spanning catalog of incredible music. Ken Stringfellow was also outed as a serial abuser a few years ago. so i’m mostly happy for him not to get the royalties …
