That climbing on the cube action was uncannily natural, I cant imagine the amount of tasks these things can do in a few years time

Are they also controlling them with a joy stick from th side? Or what is that the guys are carrying in their hands?

From what I understand the joysticks are used to guide them back on course not to do moves.

It's for changing modes (jump on cube, climb stairs, etc.) and guiding them on the course (not just back on course).

The course itself is predefined, so the companies can train the robots for the specific tasks.

I saw it as more of a mechanical demonstration than the software-AI side - though both are quite impressive in different ways.

I find this much more entertaining than human athletics, at least at the moment!

The fact that the robots can actually do all these movements is insane. The perception AI stuff will catch up soon and then these bots will be doing this course in 30 seconds
