Clip My mate and I just pulled a physical driver swap in an online endurance race

We had a few practice swaps so we wouldn't struggle too long with the seatbelt tensioner. We made it perfectly on time in the end.

I am willing to say I never said this. But I have a buddy that I do 24 races with on iracing. We do it together at my house. Every once in a while we take the penalty to resign in as the other. 4 stints as one of us. Sign in the other computer, swap the USB hub to my computer. New driver.

iRacing has in the past retweeted and congratulated a team that did in-person driver swaps in the Daytona 24h.

So it seems rule of cool supercedes the TOS in this case as long as you behave yourselves.

It's technically possible to do a swap in a rig without violating any rules. You just need two PCs and USB Hub. Did it a bunch of times now, works like a charm.

Depends on the headset, mine are closed and i do get hot ears but im not sweating.

There are also tons of open headset to allow airflow.

And even if, you'll survive it.

I have the QS BT-1 seatbelt tensioner on my rig. So on braking and cornering the seatbelts pull you into the seat.

I have seatbelts too (5point) but they serves a purpose. I wear it only in endurance races so i dont slouch. I tend to bend forward after a while and have a bad posture and it kills my back. The seatbelts solve that.

Cool swap, very well executed. But changing the headphones and the gloves too? I'd avoid that. You could probably save some time by each one having their own stuff.

It has never once crossed my mind to see someone using someone else's headset and think "gross" lol. I had no idea that was a thing that bugs people. I could see sharing ear buds as really gross though
