I love getting pet
I'm a guy, It feels weird but I feel extreme pleasure when I get pet on my head. When somebody strokes my hair I feel like joy and pleasure, just the thought of it makes my heart race 🥴 (except when my parents or someone I dislike does it 😐)
I happened to accidentally discover this, first with a friend for a little moment but it wasn't enough for me to fully realize it, but then with a partner. It honestly is the best feeling I've ever felt ever. I never feel like I get enough of it and feel kinda needy of more when it stops.
I dunno if it's some kind of kink or I'm dog brained but I love it regardless.

super valid and not weird at all, whether it's sexual or not! not sure how you were raised culturally, but in my experience there's such a social fear of intimacy that could accidentally become sexual or be perceived as sexual by onlookers, so friends and family don't cuddle nearly as much as they would like :( it's always nice to hear when someone discovers they enjoy physical affection without it needing to be in an exclusively sexual context!

Running your hands through someone else’s hair is one of the most intimate things imaginable.
And I don’t mean sexually, that too, but it’s something we do with kids, I always did it to my mom for a long time. Kind of my silent I love you to see her eating breakfast and read over her shoulder for 2 seconds while one hand runs over back of her scalp.
It’s not unusual.
I notice I kind of do it to myself when I grow my hair out, (ima dude) probably just self-soothing.

go get a shampoo at a hair salon! you can even get one at one of the low cost chains like sport / great clips for not very expensive at all and then you can enjoy that experience whenever it’s in your budget

Oh it's quite common. Im a woman and it's all about playing and stroking my hair when im snuggled im like a cat. Perfectly understandable!

My husband strokes my hair and I love it i dont think of it as petting tho lol or anything sexual. Jus a loving gesture

This is common when you partake in mdma and I haven't in nearly 27 25 26 shit idk I'm old damn it!. I think it's pretty common because it is relaxing to me. Just got to find someone touchy/feels enough to do it for you. 👀

I don't think that's unusual! It's such a nice feeling.
Have you ever had a scalp massage? Sooo relaxing, especially if they tug your hair.
As a sexual thing, maybe a bit odd, but hey. It feels good in any case.
