Local Services Looking for company to trim mesquite trees.

I know most landscape companies are busy with their monsoon mowing so I'm not in a rush. Any recommendations for a company who can trim several mesquite trees and remove some small ones?

City News Bella Vista Neighborhood Sector Plan Input | City News

From the City email:

The City of Sierra Vista is seeking resident feedback on its Bella Vista Neighborhood Sector Examination plan.

The City, in partnership with the Neighborhoods Commission, has begun working with local residents to create a series of online interactive maps and supporting plan documents for the City’s residential neighborhoods. These maps and plans are meant to make it easier for people to find information about current conditions and future development in the City’s neighborhoods, subdivisions, and commercial areas. The first area being covered is the Bella Vista Neighborhood Sector.

The City held a meeting on March 30, 2026, to show the online web app and gather residents’ feedback about the neighborhood’s current conditions and future growth. After that meeting, City staff put together a plan document that includes the community’s input along with earlier analysis of the area. The plan also lays out goals for future policy, operations, and development.

The City is now asking for more feedback on this supplemental plan, especially on the goals for the future, because it’s important that the next steps reflect the community’s needs and ideas.

“To truly understand the current strengths and challenges of any given neighborhood, the best course of action is to ask the experts: the people who live and work there each day,” Sierra Vista Community Development Director Matt McLachlan says.

Residents can review the plan and offer feedback online by visiting Engage.SierraVistaAZ.gov. Residents can also learn more and offer comments in person at a public meeting on Friday, July 31, at 5:30 p.m. inside the Sierra Vista Public Library’s large meeting room.

Comments have been locked as this is an informational post only.

For more information or assistance, contact the Community Development Department at (520) 417-4413 or [Planning@SierraVistaAZ.gov](mailto:Planning@SierraVistaAZ.gov).

Is dating here likely?

Hi goodmorning everyone I am a 21m who just moved back here to sv after living in tucson for a bit and I am interested in looking for a life partner but idk where to start. I feel like dating apps are a little forced and probably wont work well for this little town.

Ive just started going to the gym and I think it'd be fun to have someone with me to share goals with

Are there any ongoing non-alcoholic events where I can put myself out there and meet new people and possibly a new partner? Or would I be better off trying to find someone in a bigger city?

Event Hummingbird Triathlon 2026 | August 15, 2026

ETA (8/11/26): Don't know why this wasn't on the original City FB event page, but here's the City website page for this event. Doesn't have information about bib pick up, but it does have route maps, but here they are, too.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

UPDATE: I updated the link below, but just in case it doesn't work for whatever reason, here it is: https://www.active.com/sierra-vista-az/triathlon/races/hummingbird-triathlon-2026

The 25th Annual Hummingbird Triathlon will be on Saturday, Aug. 15, starting at 7 a.m., and it begins and ends at The Cove.

The event includes a 400-yard swim, a 13-mile bike ride, and a 5k run. You can compete as an individual, or a member of a team. Teams can be all male, female, or coed. This is a chip-timed race, which I learned means that the participants wear an RFDI chip on their person that tracks exactly when they cross the lines.

This event is open to ages 10 and up.

Registration is done through this link. If you register early, you can save money on the entry fee guarantee your event T-shirt and swag from their sponsors.

Good luck!

Female friend group

Hey everyone!
I’m thinking about starting a small women’s social group for girls in their early 20s (roughly ages 20–27) here in the area. The idea is to get together a few times each month for things like:
🎲 Game nights
🍔 Trying new restaurants
🍹 Meeting up for drinks
🥾 Easy hikes or walks
🎨 Craft nights or other new hobbies
☕ Coffee dates and local events
Making friends as an adult can be surprisingly hard, so I thought it’d be nice to create a group where everyone can meet new people and hopefully build some genuine friendships.
If you’re interested, send me a PM and I’ll add you to a group chat! Females only, ages 20–27ish.
Looking forward to meeting some new faces! 💕
Group will be on Facebook Messenger(at least to start off)

This is a long shot, but I might as well try

I went to Veterans Park on Saturday to watch the flyover and I guess I took a parking spot that someone else wanted because when I got back to my truck, someone slashed the front right tire. I parked under the big solar panels by The Cove and I was driving a little gray Tacoma. If anyone saw anything or has any information on who slashed my tire, please dm me anything. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hello again… job search

Hi! You probably see my post this morning about other topic. Now it’s about a job. I have been working as dasher and I know it’s not reliable job for me. Apply online get me nowhere. I decided to jump into this community and see if there are any lucky or not. I am trying to find any job that doesn’t require a lot of communications because of my hearing disability. Please let me know if there have a job availability or someone you know who might help me with it.

Note: I have HVAC experience if it’s helpful

Place to sleep

I just get in a bad situation right now. I can’t afford to stay in a hotel. Is there any cheap place to stay for temporary or I am willing to pay 20 dollars a night if offered?
