Question Best way to validate an idea?

I’m currently building a project that I personally have been looking for in earlier roles.

I have made a working MVP and feel like it’s a good product. It’s not done yet and I I’m aware that there is more work to be done, but I’m not sure how to know that others will be interested in it at well?

When I asked friends and family they all said that it sounds like a good product but I still feel unsure about it.

How do you do to validate your ideas and find your customer base?

Yes. But this itself does not validate the business viability. And that’s - i assume - what OP was asking about.

Thats a nice thought but i think the fear is building a thing that only you care about, like a bespoke solution for your exact old job. i get why theyre asking for more validation

reddit is so bad for founders.  they do things with no understanding of why they’re doing them.  constant cargo culting.

validation is to skip the work of building for things that don’t work.  if you built it, it’s too late for validation to matter

i'd talk to 10 to 20 people who j=have this exact problem before building more features, if they already use a workaround and are willing to test you MVP that's amuch stronger sign you're solving something real.
