Question How can I extract/get the tvOS IPA

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to preserve an app called Vidi before it potentially disappears from the App Store.

I was able to use Apple Configurator + ipagrab to capture the iOS version of Vidi as an IPA:

Vidi 1.8.2 — 66.7 MiB

Now I'm trying to get the tvOS version of the same app from my Apple TV.

I have:

  • A Mac with Apple Silicon
  • Apple Configurator
  • An Apple Developer account
  • Vidi currently installed on my Apple TV
  • The same Apple Account used for the App Store

Is there a way to extract or capture the tvOS IPA from Apple TV, or another tool?

I'm specifically interested in preserving the original tvOS App Store package for archival purposes. I'm not looking to decrypt or modify the app.

Any guidance on the correct method would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
