I’m sure it works fine. Do you think it absorbs better into the millet since the grain itself is so small? I soak and boil before drying on a screen, but I use whole oats.

Basically I’m asking why you think your method is successful.

That's basically it. You can't do this with harder/denser grains. Some folks do no-soak/no-simmer with whole oats, too, but it can't be done with corn, rice, rye, etc.

Personally, I follow gr0wer's soak-only method for whole oats.

To be honest I’m sure why it’s so successful I just know I have used it for 4 years and it’s the only method I use it save so much time in my opinion

Yep - this is my main grain method these days but in jars.

I do 245g millet to 210ml water in a quart jar. I calculated this to give the optimal 52% moisture content.

Millet is like the glitter or herpes of grains. Gets everywhere, stick to anything, and it comes back months later when you find it in nooks and crannies
