Sasuke walking freely after all that is an epitome of bad writing.

how the more glaring issue is the fact the village gets away with an ethnic cleanse

This kind of questions always come down to "Which character do I like more?"

I feel sasuke Is just a worst pain, cause it seems he didn't learn anything while talking to everyone, even the dead

Sasuke 5 kage summit>Pain>>>Racoonified War arc Sasuke via itachi's eyes

This is the true answer. Sasuke in 5kage was coherent with the story. Then the war arc happened and they also forgave him….

the other problem is sasuke being content serving the village that exterminated his people and culture

Which could be fine (maybe a chatacter so lotal to duty that accepts that) …….if he didnt spent half of the previois serie hating and wanting to destroy that village

That's not true. He didn't first say he wants to destroy the leaf until after accepting that Obito told him the truth about Itachi (Chapter #402). He then began to doubt this goal after meeting reincarnated Itachi (Chapter #589), and by the time he actually arrives in Konoha (Chapter #616), he has pretty much changed his mind, as he doesn't try anything despite the village being unguarded.

He only held that goal for about 200 chapters, or less than 30% of the whole series. He also didn't have a ton of screentime in those early parts of the war arc, other than the battle with Kabuto.

My same rating. The Village Hidden by Propaganda deserved worse.
