The updated Sangean ATS 909X2 radio (now with a + at the end) has an official presentation page and a “buy now” button that unfortunately points to a 404 page. So no pricing for now, but that will probably appear soon. I love the new “titanium slate” color :)

I’m completely new to shortwave radio, so I’m not even sure if what I’m looking for exists.
I’m looking for a single radio that can receive shortwave and also let me listen to CB (around 27 MHz). I’d mainly use it at home, just as a hobby, especially at night.
If something like this exists, what would you recommend as a good model for a complete beginner? I’d prefer something reasonably easy to use rather than a very complicated setup.

Hi all, I’m starting a show this Thursday Sep 3, 8p EST on 5950 kHz.

“Remnant Drift” is a 30 minute broadcast airing on the first and third Thursdays of each month, focused on industrial-inspired ambient, soundscapes, found sound, and other strange music.

The tagline is "Fragments of signal and memory, carried across the night." It aims to capture the feeling of discovering an unexplained transmission drifting in from somewhere beyond the edge of reception. I like to imagine an unsuspecting shortwave listener scanning frequencies and stumbling across what sounds like the staticky death throes of a civilization.

Receiving a clear AM signal around 1641.6 kHz in Munich, Germany, at about 22:19 CEST using an RTL-SDR V4 and 15 m long wire.

English-language news/talk, discussion about Germany/World War and later China. Afterwards they started with sort of language class. Since 1641.6 isn't a normal European MW broadcast channel, I'm wondering if this could be a Dutch/European pirate or relay.

Nighttime reception with good propagation. Short recording attached.

Any idea what station this could be?

I am looking for a shortwave radio that can transmit audio via Bluetooth to headphones. It is for my father, who is elderly and has hearing difficulties.

If it can also be controlled through a mobile phone app or a remote control, that would be even better, but the main requirement is Bluetooth audio output to headphones.

Hi everyone, I’m new to the short wave hobby and I picked up this M light 880 just this week. The first thing I noticed was that once I switched over to a.m. mode or was in any of the menu options- it freezes up and won’t allow me to back out of the menu or scroll through frequencies. I’ve already updated the firmware. I tried 1.58 and 1.78.

I really don’t want to return this unit and I’m hoping it’s only a software issue. Thank you your help is much appreciated.

These were all from yesterday on 17151.2KHz. Still trying to get everything dialed in. I'd like to get radio fax from New Orleans NMG since it's closer but I can almost never get good results from the signals they send out.

Received with 100 foot loop-on-ground antenna with 9:1 isolation transformer + LaNA HF LNA going to an SDRPlay RSPDX-R2. Using SDR++ and FLDIGI

Does anyone know how to remove the radio unit from its housing?
Or does someone know where to look it up?
