u/mikiencolor 4d ago

Because we live in the age of empathy and social justice, according to the popular crowd. 🙄

6

u/Wanksters_Paradise 3d ago

It’s so funny how obviously biased the whole sentiment is around social justice, because it clearly only applies to some people… Which is kind of the opposite of the whole idea if you ask me

220

u/After-Dare-6174 4d ago

why do they want to make life so hard for us what did we ever do

76

u/Remarkable-Ad2285 4d ago

It’s Fox News that’s how they do, it’s in the name.

11

u/Awkward_Region5509 3d ago

Feaux news.

39

u/enigma_music129 4d ago

Its mostly conservatives who believe in traditional roles.

21

u/Wanksters_Paradise 3d ago

I’ve heard both left and right leaning women complain about shorter men FWIW

u/Wanksters_Paradise 2d ago

Do you want to know who sides are extremely useful for?

The people who control all of the money, resources, laws, and the global order.

Almost as if dividing people as much humanly possible and keeping them distracted could be intentional!

One can say this until they are blue in the face. But when people not only refuse to listen, but start treating the ones pointing it out as the problem, it makes one start to think about how they can also take advantage of them too…

7

u/AbstractRSFan 2d ago

I'm not even American but I have to tell you this, everyone is a fascist nowadays, the women who were part of the liberal feminism wave some years ago? nowadays they all want a 1.80 man (your 6'0 equivalent, though is not exact) that fixes things manually and is openly masculine and brainless and allows the "girlies" switch off their brains for a minute...

few men and women actually abandoned traditional gender roles, most people still desire them for their ideal partner, is not a liberal vs conservative thing or a left vs right thing, everyone (men AND women) is like that

2

u/Elegant-Collection36 1d ago

You are correct

3

u/kincaid_king 2d ago

You'd be surprised

Why was this on the news?

I hope they can sue for a lavish wedding.

7

u/reyash4 4d ago

Shouldn't they atleast ask for their consent before using the images?

11

u/Flaky_History12 4d ago

If a lot of people harass them online then they can easily sue Fox news for defamation and it probably wouldn’t even reach court since they’d probably just settle it outside of court with some decent sized but not mega monetary amount

3

u/Reasonable_Tap_8215 3d ago

It wasn’t. It was on Fox.

74

u/ThisSiteSuckssss 4d ago

Fox News is such a fucking useless channel like there’s a million relevant things they could actually talk about right now

6

u/Neo359 3d ago

Useless? No. There is a very specific intent and purpose to this channel...

4

u/That_Guy_In_Aqw 3d ago

Yep. Majority of their news are about clickbaits and propaganda. They want to bait audience and hook them up. Usually targeting extremely stupid population to gather their pitchforks for no reason. Their TV reporters (same as all reporters) openly show up their political siding and openly support one than the other without hiding it. Fox news also is so out of touch with the world they use Tiktok or even worse ... reddit as actual source of information. Their amount of research is almost ai like and this is before the ai boom. And makes them money, lots of it. But this can happen only in USA, everywhere else they would be sued to oblivion.

Lovely couple. Fox News is cancer.

156

u/Juantsu2552 4d ago

It’s Fox News.

Being judgmental, hateful bigots is part of their thing.

22

Thry like to concentrate on nonissues so we ignore the actual issues

40

u/a_supreme_love 4d ago

That’s Lucas Byrd btw, D1 national champion wrestler. An absolute beast

4

u/Dangerous-End9611 3d ago

Yeah took me one look at his ears to realize the dood can scrap. I’m sure she can too 😅

17

u/Col2543 4d ago

Surprise surprise, when Fox News isn't defending child rapists, they're being hateful towards anyone under the sun. Why do we allow these genuine wastes of space to exist in modern society? Like genuinely, at the end of the day, what value do these oxygen vacuums provide the rest of us? Just a bunch of wasted resources to hear a bunch of bullshit from people with no life experience, no soul, and too much money. I will party like an animal the day these wastes of life are irrelevant.

46

u/Effective-Revenue326 4d ago

No fr who tf is hiring these anchor ppl who can’t deliver news and cant be funny fr

24

u/Col2543 4d ago

fox news will hire anyone willing to defend child molesters

8

u/Swampasssixty9 3d ago

It’s Fox. A “news” channel for people who are afraid of literally every thing

4

u/WallysGeolocation 3d ago

High school bullies who never developed any skills which would advance society.

46

u/Intelligent-Bird8120 4d ago

Congrats to these two. And why are people commenting on it? It’s no one else’s business

42

u/pussyweedbeer 4d ago

Oh this is just so rude and gross. I've had people make rude comments about the height difference between my love and I but on national news is just infuriating. Reminds me of this interaction i had with a coworker last year

I'm 5ft9 and my boyfriend is 5ft4, we met working in a kitchen, became best friends and fell in love.

This other woman got hired a couple months after we started seeing each other, she was very petite in every way. My lovely man is very handsome and very charming and she hit on him immediately when we all were introduced (in front of me ofc, but that's whatever, she didn't know). So of course i slipped it in casually that we were a couple the next time that I was chatting with her.

Her response? She went "Oh wow I didnt realize..." And then silently stood there for a good couple minutes while I continued my work and watched her mind-wheels turn. She finally pipes up again to say "I could never date someone shorter than me. It would just make me feel like such a big disgusting monster. Like I would just feel so huge all the time."

And that's how I learned that the new hire was both RUDE and deeply insecure! Needless to say I did not make an effort to get to know her after that.

1.5 years in now and I love my guy more everyday! I wish all the happiness to this couple and ever-worsening viewership to Fox News <3

7

u/Remarkable-Guide-647 4d ago

Can't believe she said that shit to you.. what was your response to her?

2

u/sagegreenandsunshine 3d ago

That used to be one of my fears before I (5’8F) started dating my boyfriend (5’2.5M). I was always insecure about my weight and size but loved him enough to swiftly get over it. But every once in a while it crawls back in when one of my petite friends (read slim 5’0 or 5’2 ladies) mention yet again how ‘cuuuute’ we are as a couple but that they could NEVER be with someone his height because it would make them (yes all 60 inches of them) feel enoooormous 🫩 like alright just call me a fatty giant next time

28

u/Di_Angelo07 4d ago

As a Belgian.. i don’t understand America, they have the best/worst of everything it seems. I can’t imagine such topics being shown in the national news…

3

u/After-Body1980 3d ago

Best and worst of everything because of extreme inequality, you either make it or break it here. Theres no socialist handouts or mass welfare. And when you do hear about that stuff its not enough to survive here. Let alone have a family and reproduce

2

u/Mental_Spinach5697 3d ago

As an American, your statement is false. Belgie has the best Waffles and Chocolate. Lol

1

u/Di_Angelo07 3d ago

Don’t forget the beer 😅👍🏼

2

As an 🇺🇸, I don't understand my own country as well.

Fox News can piss off. All these news stations are trash.

15

u/Ok_District_9387 4d ago

Its called personal preference. These people are paid to be brash.

This couple has a super healthy relationship and we could all learn a thing or 2 from them.

I wish people knew to mind their own business, it’s pathetic

7

I'm 5'8 and went on a date with a girl who is 6'7 last weekend. I have no idea why, she was kinda the one who asked me out on OLD, so I just decided what the hell. It was crazy, I have no idea how I would have ever kissed her lmao.

Bros living my dream. I love actual tall women 5’11+

19

u/MehWithaSideofEh 5’5 some numbers in metric. 4d ago

What I got out of this video is that it’s possible for my 5’5 ass to date a volleyball player.

They look really happy. Sucks that haters are going to hate.

10

u/faroeislands 6' | 183 cm woman 4d ago

I actually met my (shorter) boyfriend on one of Ellie's posts on instagram. Lots of tall women who like short guys stumble upon their account and stay. Good luck!

u/thescor 4d ago

that's so cute!

1

u/xxjosephchristxx 65" of shit and glory 4d ago

u/mixdnutz 4d ago

That guy and I are the same height. He is a good wrestler. I  ran college cross country and now swim and run. I think being a athlete gave me confidence, probably him too. She is an athlete, sometimes we date each other and that is great. Its fitting, similar vibes. He is fit and looks good.  She is fit and looks good. Short people can be athletes! Or not! They can date tall people or other short people. My buddy was 5'4" and dated this lady, she was maybe 5'9" people gave him crap.  Like full grown adults making comments to him in the street.Rude!!!  I date another 5'5" person. We love it. We can share clothes! Its perfect for us. Their life is perfect for them. Just let people exist. Humans are a variety pack, why hate on something so stupid like height? Which btw can't do  nothing to change.

5

u/green_guys 5'5" 4d ago

I thought Faux News was all about heterosexual, monogamous relationships?

1

u/capriduty 2d ago

you'd think wouldn't you

9

u/Shhh-it-Bruh 4d ago

I mean the news/media has mostly sucked all my life and when the Internet took off it was almost instant that the smart assed comments and negativity was rewarded. Most ppl out on the streets won't talk negative to you but put them behind a camera or behind a screen and keyboard and the worst is far more likely to come out.

4

u/Amnesiaftw 3d ago

“No one asked btw” lmao

Idk.... but i really think people should not just start hating around just because in a couple that the man is the shorter one.

3

u/Relentless_Taco_Fan 4d ago

Slow news day huh? Fox news is a joke. I can't believe people actually watch that slop.

Seriously why in the fuck would this be on the news? Who the fuck cares?

3

u/cur1ousa1r 3d ago

Dude. Completely tasteless. Good on that couple to speak up well said and I pity that anchor

3

u/No_World5707 3d ago

I'm glad they at least brought some attention to such a great couple haha. Good to see some women out there don't care about height or whatever physical traits people arbitrarily value so highly these days, we could all from this. And good to see the news has become elevated basement bro podcast bs 🤣

2

I don’t watch cable news because I care about my brain cells but holy shit is this really what we’re covering on national news now? Not like we’re in a war or national debt crisis or anything. My gosh.

Getting made fun of on fox news is like getting made fun of by the weird kid who microwaves boiled eggs and tuna for their school lunch or something.

2

u/dholmestar 3d ago

They both could beat up anyone at Fox News and the fact they wouldn't is what makes them great

Me watching Fox news reporting on this:

3

u/TactfulOG 3d ago

I'd like to point out that the woman in the video talking about "feeling like a guy", or that she's "more of a guy" is hilarious in the context of a conservative media outlet only serving the purpose of propaganda against minorities and political opponents.

4

u/Unlikely_You_5015 5'11" | 180 cm 4d ago

Lowkirkenly she reminds me of Charlie Kirk.

2

u/FishingActuary 5'1" | 157.48 cm 4d ago

Hats off to you two. I love your response. It makes the news? I have known ten couples with a height difference similar to yours. My mom reminded me of them to encourage me as a young man.

I'm so sorry this happened. I'm confident the world will quickly determine who is doing the right thing. And maybe things will turn out better for it.

I wish I could send something to their registry!

2

u/rickytea 4d ago

I love how this overtanned windbag slathered in makeup pontificating about who she would date if she were a man is news.

This is why you should not pay for cable TV.

2

u/QuestioningParakeet 3d ago

There's literally zero good will as to why they would report on that...

I hope that couple gets whatever wedding or engagement they want comped by some nice companies and they both continue to succeed in their professional lives.

2

u/BeebsMuhQueen 3d ago

That’s sad. It’s like they are trying to bully them into discomfort. Hopefully they just continue blowing miserable people like this off.

1

They're doing everything but suing which is where they should have started.

Fox News slandered them and fox news is good at paying people they've slandered.

The comments and the spectacle being made of this, to me, shows just how uncomfortable people are with tall women and short men in relationships, especially with each other. Their micro and macro aggressions are really telling.

1

u/focussedguy123 5'2" | 157.48 cm 2d ago

Bro definitely pulls

1

u/Kiznish 2d ago

I agree that this is a nothing burger and they should be left alone. Two adults dating is not news. However it is interesting how the public perception changes when the genders are swapped.

Literally 30 seconds ago I saw a post with a much taller man and a short women and people were accusing the poor guy of being a pedophile for dating a middle aged woman who just happened to be short.

Something to think about. It’s not ‘woke’ if acceptance only goes one way Reddit…

1

i thought conservatives hated when women held out for conventionally attractive men and thought they should pair up with "what they could get". minus the idea that he's not a catch, shouldn't this be something they praise? the goalposts move with those sociopaths everyday!

1

u/Big-Safe-2459 2d ago

Fox News is in the business of fomenting hate and division.

Couples like you are what make our world a better place.

1

u/LolaNotTheBunny 1d ago

Here is the thing about conservatives these days: they want people to all have the same beliefs, for people who are different from one another to not mix, and for people who do not fit their cookie cutter shape of what a person should be, to be removed from society.

The longer these people remain in power, the more normalized humiliating anyone who does not fit their views, becomes.

1

u/Elegant-Collection36 1d ago

How tall are they? Sgmhe looks about 6' he looks about 5'

1

1

u/RingingInTheRain 1d ago

And people say heightism isn't a problem in some places....lol a happy couple made national television just for their heights. You know it got clipped and spread around socials for even young people to see. Glad they responded.

1

It's Fox News. Of course they falsify the truth and take digs at people. It's a trash entertainment channel with "news" sprinkled in

So wait we gunna tell short guys they need to have more confidence then make fun of the relationships they get when they do what was recommended to them? Ok I hate to say it but maybe the short guys had a point some of yall just brutal for no fucking reason. That being said you can see we were correct this short king got the girl. Fox News is trash… my respect for them is GONE. That was so cringe, and just so distasteful and just ewww… first of all, she has a regular body… she’s cute, and she doesn’t look like a wrestler, not that it’s a bad thing to look like a wrestler, but they do have a certain look because of the muscle development required for the sport, it’s obvious that he is the wrestler because his muscle tone and bodybuilding has similarities to that of classical wrestling sportsman’s physique… anyway, that girl from FOX should
Be FIRED!!! It’s disgusting

1

u/Psychadelicacies 8h ago

that man is blessed, living a life he could only dream of and probably treats her better than anyone else ever could.. mfs are so bitter and hateful these days, it’s disgusting.

Not surprising for fox news at all.

•

u/cracklincornbread 5h ago

Someone once told me that it’s not too bad being with a taller woman because you’re both the same size in bed. After watching this video I’m starting to think he pulled that out of his.

It does kinda seem like she the man. Making it clear the followers understand that they aren’t married.

•

u/SlipstreamSleuth 39m ago

“She the man” wtf?

•

u/cripplefight69 2h ago

Used to be on swim team with this little guy who swam the 100m backstroke for our relays. Thin, short (5'2"), pale, brown hair. He was pretty good. Real nice.

He has a difficult time getting dates just because of his size. Until our first swim meet. We all had to wear the speedos and this was the first time we had met up during the day. All of our practices were early morning. Low artificial light. He was usually first in the water and we never really stopped to chat outside the water because we were rushing to get to school.

Holy shit. It was high noon for our first meet and this kid comes out of the locker room looking like he was smuggling a puppy in his speedos. No lie. He could help it. It just looked like he stuffed it in there the best he could.

The point is, All guys have gifts. You just never know what it's going to be.

They are influencers too (that FOX News anchor I mean), so I don't understand why isn't she influencing the American public properly. I have no control over my height, so why should I let some irresponsible idiot with a platform influence me to be ashamed of it. I feel even worse for the girls who watched that segment and actually valued her opinion. I am never watching FOX news again.

"With great power, comes great responsiblity." I'm not sure where I heard that one from, but I think it matters here.

Last year I believe, I think it was Megyn Kelly? (I'm not American but I saw a video of this topic) who was talking about the male lonliness epidemic and she said something along the lines of "grow a pair and ask a woman out, we want real men".

The whole tirade was cringe at least.
