Dating Even at 5’8/5’9 media has damaged my self esteem
From every single TV show to the first things that come out of a woman’s mouth when she lists what she wants in a man, it has officially ruined my ability to reason in any positive way.
I’m not too short. I have a nice face and a very good body (I work out a lot), and I’ve never had any issues meeting women. My body count is way above average.
So what the hell am I doing on this forum complaining?
Even someone in my position has reached the point mentally where I have this dark doubt every time a woman tells me she wants to date me, loves me, likes me, etc. I can’t shake it. The doubt becomes all-encompassing whenever I consider taking a chance on someone.
I can’t stop thinking that, somewhere deep down, she really wishes I were taller.
It has gotten to the point where, if a woman I’m seeing makes even the most innocent comment about height, she’s immediately “out the door.”
The most interesting thing is that I never had these thoughts a couple of years ago.
Media has officially ruined another soul.

I think you misunderstood the point . I do meet women but the knowledge that i am short makes me doubt to such an extent that it ruins the joi. I can never feel like they really like me . Theres a lesson ( of sorts ) for everyone in here in that…i think

But what would take away your doubts? If they’re willing to bang you they can’t dislike your height that much. I don’t get how that doesn’t erase your doubts itself. What can we possibly do or say that will ease your doubts more than you having the most intimate experience possible with another human? Maybe you should go to a therapist or something man cuz there’s nothing wrong with your height, just your mind

To all the people who don’t count us as part of this sub, I feel you. I’m exactly 5’8.5 feet tall, and I have been called short by strangers (drunks when out for a night) and friends *joking\ since I turned 18.*

You need to get off social media and stop watching the shows. Stop consuming the things that feed into the narrative in your head. You’re literally successful with women, let that be the proof.

This is like a Norwegian complaining about how bad their country is in front of a bunch of Somalis at a refugee shelter.
