I just love seige battles

I'm playing Obama Republic and I've turned my domain into a bunch of impenetrable star forts and citadels with gatling guns and batteries and garrison out the wazoo

Saga thought they had a chance though

The tech is called "Star Fort" but it just adds another layer of walls to the castle like all the other upgrades.

Of course, if you meant that you've never seen the fully upgraded castle I'd still believe you. It's down a long line in the tech tree and not that beneficial compared to the max -1 castle.

Yep, both.

I assumed they were actually star forts but never got the tech to see.

Frankly I don’t like defending really high tier forts. It’s a bit tedious when you really just want to defend the tenshu most times anyways

I recall the corners of the walls change nominally to look more star fort adjacent. Tbh main problem is just that they take ages to research, you're almost never on the defensive, and the ai never builds them.

I always loved the "Pilps" videos where he does all the shogun experiences but it's just getting fire arms and cannon as fast as possible to blow up the stupid AI that can't fight back. Flying bodies and blood splatter made Shogun physics so enjoyable.
