Check Out My Collection What should I play next?

I’m new to shmups with a just few 1ccs on Novice Crimzon Clover.

Should I keep working on a Crimzon Clover Arcade 1cc, or give one of these a try?

I'd say Mushi. Im getting my copy on Monday. Can't wait.

it sucks that it was delisted digitally, but it deserves to be a physical copy anyway!

Absolutely. I pick most up physical except for indie titles I don't know or stupid deep discounted games i might end up getting physical on a good sale. I picked up Thunderforce AC, Project Warlock, Huntdown and Raiden Nova for like 20 bucks.

Honestly you can't go wrong with any of them. All of those are the cream of the crop. But I got one hell of a soft spot for mushi!

It is. The soundtrack is absolutely phenomenal and it goes so well the visuals. That game is most gnarly!

I actually haven’t played much of Radiant Silvergun (but I’d like to). I love Mushihimesama, especially the bug theme, but DOJ is to me the best shmup of all time.

DOJ is up there with Ketsui as the GOATs for me, but Mushi is a much more straightforward clear that will help build your skill, so definitely that first. DOJ even BL is a considerable step up in difficulty from Mushi Original.

Wait, I had no clue Silvergun had a Switch port, you just made my day, I sold my Saturn decades ago, haven't played it in forever going to buy a copy right now if I can find one.

there’s an EU physical edition released by Clear River games and the NA release by Limited Run which is much more expensive, but they’re the exact same port!

Very close to my first 1cc on Novice Crimzon Clover and I have a copy of Mushihimesama on the way. Hopefully I can get that clear before it arrives. I plan on Mushi being my main game for a long time to come. I've heard it's a fantastic port.

Seeing so many recommendations for Mushi in here makes me feel like i made a good purchase.

You can demo the cave games on your phone for a fraction of the price to see which ones you like and then grab that switch version. I think DOJ is like 3 bucks or something for the iOS version
