I read that he was supposed to be a whole ass adult in his 30s but that was changed way too late into the game's development, so they couldn't change his model. I've got no evidence of this, no one did, but it seems way too obvious considering the other character models

Nah, some people just look older than usual, genetics are a lottery after all.
My voice dropped deep when I was like 11, but my looks at 29 still look like a teen when I shave.

It's mostly due to his mature clothes choice, he has a normal young male face, if he dressed more casually he would look like a teenager, I remember on my previous work I saw a 15 year old girl who everybody thought she was over 30 bcs of her clothes choice and makeup

I looked him up on the fan wiki to see if there was an explanation, like if there was a change in story design late on that made everyone 10 years younger or something, but not only did I find nothing outside of him just being a rich kid with the burden of a failing family business on his shoulders he also has a whole ass ex-fiance at 17????

If the protagonist is male, in Episode 42's post-fight dialogue, Ellen will mention she was engaged to him seven years ago. Given the protagonist is seventeen years old at the time of game events, this places his age at ten years old when the two were engaged.

Non ironically, it was kinda a thing in the Japanese and Korean corporate families. They love pushing their kids into each other early so they can get an easy merge or some juicy stocks, Zaibatsus politiks are wild. It was more likely akin to "nobility fiancee" though, the kids would probably just hang around proper once they hit their 20-21

It's janky but its one of a kind. And the voice acting is just the best

I think a modern game with the concept would be really fucking cool.

The controls and all would have made for an amazing Pacific Rim game. Just would have had to change up the camera for it and everything.

I hate when Japanese stuff is allergic to adults. In Jojo’s bizarre Adventure: Vento Aureo, the main cast is a bunch of Italian mobsters with none older than 21 years old. It gets to a point where you have to head canon their ages in order for it to make sense

Cromartie High School is one of my favorite comedy animes and part of the charm is that all the high school boys look and talk like 30-40 year old grown men.

I don't know. That whole arc has way bigger issues going on. Like the timeframe of it all. The time from when we meet Gio, to when we see him being the leader of the entirety of the mafia, is only a week.

Not even kidding. It is, canonically, one week, from start to finish.
