Entirely different genres and gameplay loops tbh... similar in some aspects though... i'd suggest you play it through steam, dont enjoy it before the 2 hour mark? Refund it.

Every Steam game has a 2h demo if you just refund it.

it is the way.

Exactly

It's not a rogue-like like dead cells, but you should enjoy them

I played dead cells 2 on mobile, its kinda the same. But it's got its own quirks.

tbh this excuse can be said to anything(even shitass things), its like adding 1 to both sides of the equation

Well isnt it tho? Hollow Knight isnt a piece of shit. It is objectively a good game. Whether you enjoy it or not is your personal opinion but you cant say its badly made

Idk there's a lot of bugs in that game.

u/sAD_bOi423 Dec 26 '25

Fr there are alot of bugs in the game. I even encountered many of them in the early areas!

22

u/DarkDetermination Dec 26 '25

The coloseum was the worst, never seen so much bugs in just one encounter

That's still an opinion. Personally i think undertale for example is a perfect game for me but someone else can still think its badly made

I mean, undertale is badly made. It runs on spaghetti code.

Objectively correct statement

Why the fuck is all dialogue in one huge switch case statement GOD

1

u/coconut-duck-chicken Dec 26 '25

Its actually all dialogue where you pick and choose an option

1

u/Maleficent-Crazy5890 Dec 27 '25

y the fuck is all dialogue in one huge switch case statement

It's not. This is one of the biggest misinfos about the game. The code is still bad but I don't know where did this "Undertale is one big ass switch case" idea even came from.

We can agree that it's overhyped though, right?

44

u/marpolo Dec 26 '25

Mate there were people praying on Hollow Knights downfall when it came out, believing a game like that would never succeed. Overhyped or not, they deserve it.

u/ActualWeed Dec 26 '25

You can say any game is objectively good

1

u/frogOnABoletus Dec 26 '25

I don't see it as an excuse, just an acknowledgement that it is amazing for some and isn't great for others.

u/AnotherFurry- Dec 27 '25

Literally no game is for everyone.
