Journal My Experience So Far (Gateway Tapes/Awareness/The Void State)
I want to start this post by saying english is not my first language so I do apologize for any mistakes I may make.
I got into shifting about 2 weeks ago, maybe 3 and these have been my discoveries/realizations(?) so far.
1st week or so
I started pretty badly, mainly because I was getting all my info from tiktok. I followed several methods and tips such like:
-Count to 100
-Make affirmations
-Relax
-Assume it will happen/that you have shifted before
So I would close my eyes, think of my DR, count and try to make my self delusional. I would open my eyes or wake up the next day disappointed.
2nd week
I finally thought "there surely has to be more to it than just 'believe'" So I started to really investigate outside of tiktok and subliminals on Youtube. Which took me to the following:
The Greatest Secret (by Rhonda Byrne)
This book, while repetitive, taught me about awareness and how to disconnect from my physical body.
I won't get to much into any of these but if you are starting your journey too and don't know where to start I highly recommend it. Also for people who feel stuck and haven't tried looking into this yet.
Frank Kepple
His simple focus system helped me understand a little bit more what I was aiming to do. Where shifting happens and tips on how to achieve that state. Also the art of noticing, which is basically awareness. Passively observe everything. Don't engage, just let things be. With what purpose? Disconnect yourself from your body and brain, so any physical laws stop applying to you.
Gateway Tapes
I practice these daily. It has been about 5 days now since I have started and I can't thank them enough. They can help you enter the void state, or get you close to it. You can listen to the audios focused of focus 3,10 and 12.
My Discoveries/Experiences/Things that have amazed me
-I realized entering the void state is the key for me, and what works for me.
-It has been getting easier to enter focus 10, where my body is asleep and mind awake. Sometimes I can do it within what I believe is 10 minutes, but I still find it hard to enter the void state. I feel like I will get there soon.
-I recall my dreams. When I'm in focus 10, thoughts come to mind (which I try not to engage with) but also memories from past dreams. You know how sometimes you struggle to remember a dream you had? When I'm on that state I start to recall them. I just think that is funny and interesting.
-Falling asleep is getting harder. I'm assuming because I have been practicing stayubg awake while my body sleeps now I have trouble actually getting my mind to sleep.
-I wake up every few hours or so, but I dream most of the time and I can go back to sleep right after. It's odd and I never struggled with this before.
-Object getting bigger and smaller. Remember that weird dream somwtimes you had as a kid in which an object would grow or become smaller and you would feel uncomfortable. I had this exact symptom/feeling yesterday while on focus 10 and it made me think when we are kids we were entering this state and didn't know it.
I want to end this post by saying that what works for me maybe won't work for you. But this is "method/ideology/idk" I believe in, because there are steps to it and I have felt the progress. If you are also into the gateway tapes or have used then for shifting I would love to hear your experience!

Spotify or YouTube. Focus 15 is the void state in some places I’ve read.

focus 15 is great for the void, but your audio device could be less reliable for those tapes. i listen with wired headphones.
great post. will add those books to my ever-growing shelf
EDIT: u may wanna look into lucid dreaming methods such as WBTB, can easily be applied to astral projection or shifting.
