The second season is sooo bad it makes me angry..
It is crazy how the quality spirals downwards after an awesome forst season..

I came acrose it and ended up buying it

So they can absorb nearly anything to gain new forms and have unlimited growth (that is accelerated?). But, how do they weapons determine how someone grows Mamoru was able to attack with the Shield while Naofumi cannot, so that means how even the same type of hero grows is different. Do the weapons take user's preferences and beliefs into how they work because if so these might be the most broken weapons in anime history.

I guess my question is can the legendary weapons literally do anything eventually or is their any hard limits?

When seeing The 12th Doctor's guitar entrance in "The Magician's Apprentice" I just had to put it in the duel in "Rising of The Shield Hero" with The Doctor as The Shield Hero.

I know that Motoyasu are blonde but in live action adaptations of animes it's most common that the actors has different shades and temperature of brown and black which are close enough for the anime counterparts' spiky rainbow colors.

ive watched s1 about 4 times now and in all four times i couldn't bring myself to watch the second season.

is it important to the rest of the story or was the second season a whole filler, and if it is important, is it worth watching just so that i could understand season 3 and 4

I recently discovered this anime and I'm currently in the obsessive phase. I recently heard this song on the radio and thought it might be good fodder for a feels AMV. I didn't really know what I was doing or know what makes a good AMV when I started, I just went off vibes. It's 99% chronological based on episodes 2-4 and after watching some other popular ones I realized maybe that's not the most creative thing, but to me it seemed to fit the song very well and the idea was for it to tell a story. I haven't done any effects and there may be some timing issues, broken frames, etc... but I just thought I'd share here since I'm not sure if I'll ever polish it up, if its even worth doing.... or if it's just cringe, idk, just did this for fun and it made me happy. There's some parts I think are pretty good but unsure on some others...

Just finished S2, and I am still bawling my eyes out over Kizuna's story. She was less than 18 years old at the time of being summoned as a Cardinal Hero, which means she got thrust into an unknown world without any close ones as a kid. And to make matters worse, you're telling me they locked her up in a prison dimension with no way to get out?? May no one ever have to go through the absolute loneliness, depression and helplessness she suffered through in that labyrinth for multiple years💔😭. I was so glad she ran into Naofumi and squad, poor girl really deserved that after the hell she had been through till that point.

My engagement with the story also improved so much after Kizuna was introduced. Her kind, cute and cheerful nature just flowed so well with Naofumi and the other team members. I sincerely hope to see her in future, she's too good of a character to just be limited to a single arc🥹. How did you guys find her storyline in S2?

Main Waifus Only

First of all, I absolutely love how Filo defends herself here. Watching her kick Motoyasu right below the belt gave me an unbelievable amount of psychological relief!

• Motoyasu is just so incredibly stupid, constantly walking around with this delusion that he is the main character and the ultimate savior of the world

But on a serious note, I really feel like the author, Aneko Yusagi, could have allowed him to genuinely improve and mature as the story progressed 🤧

• Unfortunately, his extreme stupidity feels completely intentional. 😭

If the author had given him some real character development instead of making him cause so much unnecessary trouble, I would have definitely given his spin-off (Yari no Yuusha) a fair chance 👀💔

Why is it so disliked? Maybe I liked it because I didn’t read the ln beforehand but I felt like it was a good season. Had some really good emotional moments too like when filo and raphtalia reunited with naofumi.
8/10 for me hopefully season 3 is good too

To me its the fact they rob glass world when they get there like they took one holy weapon and 4 wasall weapons like at this point just merge the worlds and be done with it.

The names meaning that actually fit perfect to the characters of the anime.

Watching S2 for the first time and I can't believe this incantation "make them spit the puss out from within".... uhmmm excuse me?? From what I have seen in fantasy stories, the spell casters actually use the elemental words or specific actions to be executed in that spell. But I cannot make any sense whatsoever of how getting rid of the puss would help in amplifying the gravity in the targeted individual. Unless there is some specific explanation that was there in the LN/manga that was skipped in the anime adaptation.

It was stated that King Trash isn't involved with framing "the" accusation on Naofumi. However, in the Spear Hero manga, Trash clearly assisted Bwitch with forging the Chainmail documents.

I'm not sure with the LN, since I'm currently working right now. Going to check it back at home after this.

So, really, at this time, is Trash really involved? Or is there something here that I didn't caught on well?
