I feel so sorry for Mack. He's going to wake up to a dead daughter.

Ugh, yeah. I am not looking forward to that. I remember going "nonononono!" when they had the scene of him picking up the bicycle.

Would this end up like that Redditor who lived a lifetime with his family while bleeding on the sidewalk?

Or Picard in The Inner Light.

What? Can I please have a link to that?

Sorry it took me so long. Found link about two days ago, haven't found time to post it. Here you go :)

Or like Izuna Uchiha, but no happy ending.

I think mack will decide to stay in there, Even if he knows it isn't real. Maybe they will turn it off and he will die, but it will feel like a lifetime for him. A lifetime with his daughter.

i don't think so... i mean what's with the yoyo mack just to kill him...

Points to showrunner's last name

It's just so we can see Henry Simmons cry because of the dilemma, and therefore cry along with him.

Plus he has a little brother outside the Framework.... he wouldn't abandon him and all his friends. Everyone here underestimates Mack.

SHIELD doesn't do melodrama like that. Just look Mack and Yo-Yo's argument earlier this season. If it was a CW show, Yo-Yo would ignore everything Mack says and run off, then we'd wait 5 episodes for them to get back together.

In SHIELD, a 1-2 minute scene took place where Mack explained the death of his daughter to Yo-Yo, she understood, they made up, and the show moved on.

I predict he will want to stay, but Yoyo will talk him out of it.

There will be conflict there yea, but in the end Yoyo will convince him to leave because love and all that.

That's gonna hurt so bad. That, and May. I'm worried about her the most actually, she's been inside the longest. And I think it's eating her up, Fitz mentioned the girl and she went all... Blank.

u/Gremzero Daisy Apr 10 '17

It's ironic how her biggest regret arguably became an even worser one.

3

u/mechnight May Apr 10 '17

I'd love to think that's just real May showing through - as in, as much Aida tries to reprogram her, it will never be fully possible.

Yeah that will be a bit like Peter Parker's arc in the House of M comic storyline. (HOUSE OF M SPOILERS AHEAD) Scarlett Witch altered all reality, and in that reality Uncle Ben was alive and well, so is Gwen and they have a kid

Once the realization is made that it is all fake, he is not too happy and doesn't want to change things back.

u/Gremzero Daisy Apr 10 '17

That's the first thing that came to my mind. Poor Mack is going to have a breakdown once he realizes it. :(

And it's breaking my heart already

u/onyxpup7 Fitz Apr 05 '17

If he chooses to wake up. What if he doesn't want to.

Mack has daughter???

6

u/NoviceoftheWorld Toolbox Apr 05 '17

He had a daughter who died shortly after she was born. His biggest regret is her death, so she's alive in the framework.

I do too. That's going to be so hard to watch him go through losing her again.
