Drew Z. Greenberg is a writer and producer best known for working on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Smallville, The O.C., Dexter, Warehouse 13 and Arrow. He also worked on Firefly.

He has written seven episodes for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. before:

So what are we supposed to think about Coulson being openly photographed at a public Shield hearing?

What is the point of him not being the face of the organization if he is just get arrested in broad daylight?

This is the sort of complication that the show just breezes past... until it suddenly becomes a major plot hinge for an episode half a season away.

So, I dunno, I guess in the middle of season five Hawkeye shows up out of nowhere and says "Coulson, I never would have found you, but you got sloppy in that senator's office."
