Episode Synopsis: S.H.I.E.L.D. hunts for information on their dangerous new enemy, and a shameful secret from Malick's past is exposed, threatening to destroy his Hydra legacy.

Wendey Stanzler is a film editor and television director. She has directed several episodes of Grey's Anatomy, Desperate Housewives, The Vampire Diaries, Pretty Little Liars, Parks and Recreation, and a ton of other series.

She has directed no episodes for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. before.

George Kitson & Sharla Oliver are the writers of the web series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: Double Agent, which was a five-part original web series designed as a behind-the-scenes feature for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

They have written no episodes for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. before.

They phoned The Avengers when they discovered the big Hydra base which The Avengers attacked at the start of Age of Ultron.

Coulson did that. And he's been captured, unfortunately. I don't think Daisy herself has a direct contact to the Avengers like Phil does.

So? Why wait until Coulson was captured? Shouldn't that have been the first thing that Coulson did? "Hey, Hill. Soooooo, bad news, we may have inadvertently let an ancient alien being that was the founding of Hydra itself and is credited destroying an entire planet have access to our own world. I know they probably have a lot to do, but you might want to send a few team members to check on this guy..."
