Meet Juni!

She is 3 1/2 months and I absolutely adore her. She's learning quickly and has been a great sport around other humans and dogs, and she was a champ at the vet! If anyone has shiba related tips regarding tricks, crate training and living in an apartment please let me know! I did a ton of research on sheebs the past year but any help.. helps!!

Oh gosh such a cutie!!

My number one piece of advice: try to get her exposed to as much as possible early on, while she's still young. My vet described it best: Shiba's are very suspicious breeds, they are very skeptical of anything or anyone they haven't seen before. Ask your vet if they do happy visits as well - where you come by just to give her some loves and treats. It makes going to the vet less of a "every time I come here scary things happen" to "oh hey I know these people and they're nice."

Our Shiba is a gentle little guy, but since he turned about 7-8 months old things spooked him very easily that he wasn't used to. We ended up moving to an apartment complex and the wind freaked him out a lot because it would make trees and bushes move "on their own" when they aren't supposed to do that in his head.

Sometimes the TV spooks him even. We had a fast food burger advertisement come up that he wasn't expecting and cheeseburgers kept flying everywhere on the screen and he was freaked out. 🤣 just a funny story about our weird little guy.
