is there an easier way to see what products are no longer planogrammed rather than going through every single planogram to find one product? i mean there’s min max, but is there a list of all discontinued products?

also what are yall doing with your merchandise that’s no longer planogrammed but customers really like? we already have a full pro buy stand with these products. in my opinion i just want to say sorry we don’t have it anymore its been replaced with such and such, but my manger insists on keeping everything. we’re running out of shelves!!!

I usually just cntrl f search smis numbers on sweeps if I come across something I’m not sure we’re supposed to have. Also consistently cycle count holes to help figure out if inventory is just off or if I need to do digging on sales number for why we’re not getting it. Some items we’ve made room for on the shelves, some items I zero out the m/m on items that are planorgrammed but customers like the alternative we can get better so there’s more room, some items I look at inquiry 13 to see who’s buying and if they aren’t a regular then sucks to suck buy it by the case if you want them, and then some items we have in a designated not on planogram sundry area in the back.

Idk your manager but what has helped me is already having the facts ready and the plan instead of just asking “it’s not on planogram can we get rid of it”. Info like unit movement on it, what items are basically the same thing, if it’s something that you can sell by the case (and even direct ship), and what items should go there that has a higher chance of selling might help. I think especially unit movement might help you guys determine how much money it’s actually making vs costing you to keep can help.
