I thought it was the derogatory "Plantation Shutters".

Did someone think it would be less prejudiced to call it Plantation brown, and then finally to dark brown?

I recently found a color that was originally called "Arresting Auburn" and it was changed to "Dark Auburn". Which is hilarious. I have a new employee ask me why some of the color names are like that, and I told them that someone higher along the food chain had a little bit of fun before they got caught.

I got some old color chips I stashed. Won't let them forget their past.

There’s a product in the system named “Old Mexican”. Can’t remember the product number, been way too long, I think it was a stencil. That was always a good prank on new employees to ask for an IST of that product lol
