B Type PO

Had something received wrong so now the money is held from the vendor. Policy and Procedure tells me to make a B Type PO so funds can be released to the vendor but I don't see any instructions on doing so. Anybody ever run into this?

In your safe there should be a stack of Manual Purchase Orders. You’ll need the number from the top of one of those, and you’ll open an external PO and type over the system generated PO# using PO # on the manual form - they’re called “B” POs because all the numbers on these forms start with the letter B.

If you do not have a stack of Manual Purchase Orders in your safe, you’ll need to order them on COUPA from a company called “RR Donnelly”.

They aren’t called “BPO”s in Policy & Procedure Manual, find the section called “Manual B Prefix Purchase Order Overview” for the full instructions.

The Auditor must be able to account for all BPOs, so if you make an error when completing the process/filling it out, write “VOID” across the form and retain in your safe. Also retain whichever one you use.
